Joyskies, for Bluesky creators
Joyscroll is Rally's app of good news, word games and short, joyful videos. Some of those videos are Joyskies: public posts on Bluesky, played straight from Bluesky, with your name on them.
Don't want your videos in Joyscroll? Use the form below or email
joyscroll@rally.news. Your videos come down straight away — before anyone
has even read your message — and we won't feature you again.
How it works
- Our finder account, @joyscroll-finder.rally.news, reads public posts to find short videos that are kind, funny or uplifting. It never posts, likes, follows or messages anyone.
- We never download, copy or re-upload your video. When someone in Joyscroll watches it, their phone plays it from Bluesky, exactly as any Bluesky app would.
- Every clip shows your display name, handle and picture, your words exactly as you wrote them, and a View on Bluesky button that opens your post.
- If you delete or edit the post, it disappears from Joyscroll. Anything with a moderation label — on the post or on your account — is never shown.
- Readers can report a clip in the app. A few reports take it down until we've looked; a report of illegal content takes it down at once.
What Rally keeps
Only what's needed to point at your post and to remember our own decisions:
- the post's address on Bluesky, and its content fingerprint (so we can tell if it changes);
- your account's permanent ID (a
did:plc:…), so an opt-out covers all your posts; - our own category and notes about the clip, and a log of what we did and why.
We never keep your words, your name or handle, your picture, or your video or its thumbnail. If you opt out we keep your account ID on our do-not-feature list — that's the only way to make sure we don't pick you up again.
Opt out
